Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Storeperson to join our team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day functioning of our warehouse. You will be responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of storage areas, ensuring goods are received, stored, and delivered in line with internal procedures and HACCP and Food Safety standards. What will you do?
* Manage the inward and outward dispatch of goods including temperature testing and quality control
* Oversee stock rotation and accurate stock control
* Ensure cleanliness of all cool rooms and associated stores areas
* Uphold tight security of all stock by ensuring compliance of all store procedures by operational departments
* Match delivery invoices to purchase orders, highlighting any discrepancies
More about you
* Experience in a stores or warehousing environment, including loading dock operations
* Strong knowledge of produce, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, poultry, and dairy
* Sound understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and food safety practices
* Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon onboarding)
* Forklift Licence required; Walkie Stacker Certificate preferred
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); Certificate in Warehouse Operations or Asset Management preferred
