About The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of financial operations — from management reporting and budgeting to payroll, compliance, and process improvement. This is a leadership role offering variety, influence, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic, growing business.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage the organisation's finance function, ensuring strong internal controls and accurate, timely reporting
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with project managers and the leadership team
* Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly BAS submissions
* Manage annual audit, insurance renewals, and compliance with all financial regulations and standards
* Provide financial analysis and advice to support decision-making and growth opportunities
* Foster a high-performing, professional finance team through leadership, coaching, and development
Skills and Experiences:
What we're looking for:
* CPA or CA qualification (essential)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior financial management role
* Proven financial leadership, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office 365
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Nice to have:
* Experience in the construction or electrical contracting industry
* Knowledge of project-based financial management
