The Company
Inspired by Australia's great people and amazing foodie culture, Chobani USA teamed up with the Gippsland Dairy brand to form Chobani Australia in 2011. Flash forward 12 years and Chobani is Australia's #1 yogurt brand, living in the hearts (and tummies) of fans across the country.
But it's always been about more than yogurt. At its heart, Chobani is purpose-led, and takes seriously its belief in making a difference using food as a force for good. The Chobani team is passionate about supporting the communities in which they live and work, adopting a trail blazing approach to tackling Australian food insecurity through volunteering, donations, and community impact.
The opportunity
At Chobani, we're driven by a simple belief: better food for more people. As we continue to grow, and evolve how we operate, we're looking for a Supply Planner who thrives in change, enjoys working collaboratively and is ready to make an impact.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, where you'll play a key part in ensuring our yoghurt products are supplied in full and on time, meeting customer demand for finished goods, whilst maximising plant performance. Your experience in dairy or food manufacturing will be highly valued.
You will directly communicate with vendors to ensure raw materials are delivered consistent with Purchase Orders and in line with agreed delivery windows, whilst communicating any supply constraints to the Logistics, Production and Procurement teams and work with broader planning team to adjust production plans to reduce any down time on production lines.
This critical role will also review sales forecasts and work with key stakeholders to troubleshoot any issues and use those to feed into our planning tool and enable clear planning of volumes and timing of purchases.
Skills & Experience
Ideally to be successful in the role you will have:
* Prior experience in a planning role - materials, procurement, supply or demand planning (Consumer Goods preferred)
* Working knowledge of S&OP / IBP processes and internal systems such as ERP & planning systems, Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)
* An ability to get things done juggling multiple priorities and enjoy solving problems and coming up with solutions
* Amazing internal and external stakeholder and collaboration skills, with an ability to partner and challenge when needed
* A positive attitude, be a team player, and have a true continuous mindset to be forward thinking to improve the way we do things
The role offers hands-on exposure to production planning while supporting a broader planning team, with the opportunity to drive continuous improvement and help shape a best-practice planning function. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering across Production, Sales, and Processing, where creativity, adaptability, and fresh ideas are encouraged. In return, you'll have access to meaningful career development opportunities and will enjoy working with a bunch of truly passionate people who love what they do and bring their true and authentic selves to work every day.
The role will be based at our modern Dandenong South office and adjacent manufacturing facility, where you will have access to hybrid working (3 days in the office, the rest WFH), free parking and unlimited free yogurt whilst in the office
