The Team: The Huntington’s Disease Service is a small, specialised team of passionate clinicians dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Huntington’s Disease. With a strong focus on collaboration, the team works closely with medical professionals, allied health, and community services to deliver integrated, evidence-based care. United by compassion and expertise, the team is committed to improving quality of life through education, advocacy, and tailored clinical support across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. The Role: As a Huntington’s Disease Clinician, you will deliver specialised case management and clinical support to individuals and families impacted by Huntington’s Disease. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll coordinate care across community, inpatient, and outpatient settings, provide education and therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with health professionals and support services to ensure holistic, person-centred care. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those navigating a complex neurodegenerative condition. You will need: Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in mental health services and/or Huntington’s Disease Services and in line with legal and ethical requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (ANMB) National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses. Knowledge and understanding of the psychosocial and health needs of patients/clients and their families/carers and their application to nursing practice in the mental health services and/or Huntington’s Disease Service setting, including an understanding of the principles of maintaining appropriate therapeutic relationships with clients/patients and their family/carers. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in mental health nursing including assertive case management, triage, holistic physical and mental health assessment, clinical risk management and crisis intervention within the community setting. Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
