The Opportunity
Due to a series of new business wins, Melior is looking for an Account Manager to join our Sydney office and help lead on a number of exciting accounts spanning across Luxury, automotive, watches, jewellery, fashion and lifestyle. The position will focus on the daily management of client services working with the Sydney team to ensure the daily running of accounts as well as working closely with the head of business on idea creation, ideation and delivery. Must have a strong existing network across media and talent.
Daily Responsibilities
- Preparing of account service-related documents such as meeting agendas, proposals and other client communications and correspondence
- Managing project timelines and client expectations
- Running client meetings and conference calls
- Working on exciting and relevant pitch angles that align with talent objectives
- Managing schedules and planning for talent and key brand partners including meetings and calls
- Maintaining current work‑in‑progress records and archives of past project information as appropriate
- Work on relevant and exciting pitch angles that align with client comms and objectives
- Networking with key brand partners to extract their key business needs and offer suitable solutions
- Creative concepts to amplify brand partnerships
Qualifications
- 4+ years of work experience in client services, public relations or account management
- Strong local industry knowledge
- Developed a working‑level understanding of assigned client’s industries, company culture, products/services
- Efficient communication with clients
- The ability to continually seek ways to add value to the client‑agency relationship
- High level interest in branding, strategy and marketing
Desired Skills
- High level of organisation
- Detail oriented
- Strong work ethic
- High competency level required for Word, Excel and Google Sheets
- Any experience on Adobe Creative Suite a bonus
- Professional conduct within and outside office while conducting agency business
Education
This role is ideal for someone who has worked for 4+ years in the media, communications and public relations and has high level skills in client management. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Business Administration is also ideal but not mandatory.
