**About the opportunity**
An exciting opportunity to be part of a small, dedicated, and experienced team at a multidisciplinary clinical Pathology laboratory. Located at Belmont on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie. The position is temporary part time continuing up to January 2026. The position is based at the Belmont Hospital approximately 20 kilometres south of Newcastle NSW. The laboratory provides a range of Pathology services to the Hospital and local community as part of the NSW Health Pathology organisation.

**What you'll be doing**
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services within a discipline relevant to the department, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems
- Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment whilst working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes set to meet client expectations
- Customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and patients as well as clinical laboratory staff
- Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement and to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities
