* Develop and implement enhancements to the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Service Delivery Model, with a focus on parole and community-based dispositions * Full Time, Fixed Term - 18 months opportunity * VPS6 salary between $138,631 - $185,518 plus superannuation The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Project Lead to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria, Counter Terrorism Coordination Unit. About the Business Unit Corrections Victoria oversees the CVE Service Delivery Model which provides an end-to-end framework, inclusive of intelligence services, legislative provisions, policies and procedures that support the management of individuals convicted of terrorism offences and those who may pose a risk of violent extremism in prisons or subject to a community-based order, including post sentence Continuing Detention Orders. Corrections Victoria's approach to countering violent extremism is based on current and emerging evidence of good practice rehabilitation and reintegration in the field of CVE. Counter Terrorism Coordination (CTC), within the Sentence Management Division, are responsible for informing Corrections Victoria's operational strategic direction in the ongoing management of the CVE cohort, ensuring operational practice continues to evolve and align with contemporary national and international best practice evidence to reduce recidivism and maintain community safety. CTC provides central oversight and governance of the CVE Service Delivery model across prisons and Community Correctional Services. CTC ensures the integrity of the end-to-end model, identifying and implementing system improvements and providing expert advice and support to operational staff. About the Role Engage with executive level stakeholders on a range of complex policy and legislative issues to deliver sustainable solutions aligned with organisational objectives. Some of your duties will include: * Lead parole and community CVE focused project management activities, in line with project and organisational objectives. * Negotiate and influence stakeholders at an executive level on a range of complex strategic and legislative service delivery matters and secure cooperation for planned outcomes. * Develop complex written materials including briefs and project documentation that provide policy options and recommendations for consideration by senior decision makers. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: * Sound knowledge of Corrections Victoria policies, procedures and relevant legislation and regulations. * Experience in managing projects, programs or policy initiatives. * Knowledge and/or experience relating to Countering Violent Extremism would be highly advantageous.
