As part of a highly professional and experienced Secretariat, the EL1 Engagement and Communication Officer will support a review panel, engaging with key stakeholders in government agencies and participating in consultation, engagement and co-design processes with disability and the sector, to deliver a review.
Non-ongoing contract of up to 9 months, with potential for extension. Barton location with flexibility to work 2 days per week from home. S26 considered.
You will provide leadership on individual strands of work, leading and mentoring other team members as required, and role modelling the positive, team-oriented and inclusive culture that is significant to the department.
Key Requirements:
Demonstrate experience in providing enabling support, including: managing consultation and engagement processes; stakeholder relationship management; communications and engagement outcomes reporting.
Confidently engage with diverse stakeholders and build meaningful relationships and networks, in this instance with people with disability, families and carers, disability and carer representative organisations and disability support providers.
Work collaboratively and operate as a team.
Manage tasks and competing priorities, anticipating and meeting the needs of stakeholders.
Are Australian citizens with active baseline clearance
Knowledge of the NDIS and/or related policies and programs including communication and engagement is highly regarded but non essential.
