About the Role
Bakers Delight Castletown is looking for an experienced Baker to join our team. This role involves hands-on baking, maintaining product quality, and ensuring daily production targets are achieved in a busy retail bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce a variety of bread and bakery products in line with Bakers Delight recipes and standards
* Prepare dough through accurate measuring, mixing, kneading, and moulding
* Control fermentation and proofing conditions to achieve consistent results
* Bake products using commercial ovens while adjusting settings as required
* Maintain production schedules to ensure fresh products are available throughout the day
* Monitor quality of ingredients and finished products
* Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
* Assist in stock control, ordering, and inventory management
* Maintain cleanliness of bakery equipment and work areas
* Assist in training and supporting junior bakery staff
