**Job Title:** Business Development Lead
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Business Development Lead. This role is critical in identifying and developing new business opportunities, while nurturing existing client relationships to ensure continued satisfaction and service excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving business growth targets through the development of a durable prospect pipeline and implementation of sound client pursuit strategies. A strong understanding of equipment rental/hire business development practices in the mining, civil, and construction sectors is advantageous but not essential.
About the Role:
* Play a senior role in developing and implementing growth strategies, building strong relationships with customers, and leading sales and marketing team members to achieve targets and drive business success.
* Proactively identify and develop equipment rental/hire business opportunities within the mining, civil, construction sectors, and maintenance labour and services for hire market.
* Lead the end-to-end sales process including market research, generation of leads, opportunity qualification, provision of quotes, proposal development, presentations, and negotiations.
* Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and report processes using CRM system techniques.
* Implement strategies that help to generate effective marketing campaigns to expand the company's customer base, market awareness and presence.
About You:
* A proven track record of exceeding sales/revenue targets and securing high-level deals.
* Strong commercial acumen, familiarity with tendering processes, and ability to build, present, and negotiate financially sound proposals.
* Persuasive, engaging, and charismatic outcome-driven demeanor who enjoys working in a self-motivated, accountable, and autonomous decision-making environment.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with fellow team members, direct reports, business associates, and clients.
* Intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office suite) and proficient with maintaining client pipelines, customer contact registers, and CRM tools.
* Ability to travel to remote sites, client offices, and attend industry events, conferences, and site tender meetings as required.
