Job Description:
The Virtual Statewide Midwifery Intrapartum Support/Advice and Code Blue Midwifery team is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse/Midwife or Clinical Midwife to join their ranks. This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of real-time virtual midwifery support, clinical advice, and emergency response coordination.
* Deliver timely and effective virtual midwifery support and clinical guidance to regional/rural midwives during afterhours periods.
* Coordinate emergency responses to obstetric and neonatal emergencies within the Women's and Babies Division.
* Conduct thorough case reviews to provide guidance and support to midwives in isolated settings.
* Collect, maintain, and analyze data to assess service effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
* Participate in audits and quality assurance processes to monitor outcomes and recommend enhancements.
* Collaborate with the Women's Assessment Service team to ensure alignment with service protocols and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Registration as a Nurse/Midwife or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate.
* Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to prioritize workload and meet set timelines while working under minimal supervision.
* Registered Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of midwifery.
* Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
