About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity with the Asset Planning team for a Trainee CAD Technician. The Trainee CAD Technician learns computer aided drafting / design skills and complete studies required for Diploma in Civil Construction Design. To provide drafting and design services within the Asset Development team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Complete study and on the job components to meet qualification requirements for Diploma of Civil Construction Design.
* Assist with the design and drafting for current and future year's works programs using computer aided design and drafting software packages.
* Assist with the production of worksite traffic management plans.
This is a fixed-term 3 years working 38 hours per week.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:
* Ability to work towards completion of traineeship – Diploma of Civil Construction Design.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Computer competency.
* Mathematics skills.
Benefits
Salary: $35, $60,153.00 per annum, dependant on age.
Permanent staff are entitled to:
* 5 weeks annual leave per year
* The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
