Lead Strategist — Remote | Full-Time (Must be based in Australia)
My client is on a mission to be Australia's leading Creative Performance agency, helping DTC brands break through to 8 and 9 figures. They run paid media, ad creative, email/SMS, CRO, and UGC under one roof — not as siloed services, but as one connected growth engine.
As Lead Strategist, you hold the full picture for ~8 DTC clients simultaneously. Paid media performance, creative testing velocity, email/SMS revenue contribution, CRO test results, UGC pipeline, all of it sits with you. You synthesise it, you shape it into a growth strategy, and you drive it forward.
You're not reporting on channels. You're connecting them. When paid is scaling but creative isn't keeping up, you see it first. When email is propping up a weak ROAS, you call it. When a client is 3 weeks from churn, you've already got a plan.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
* ~8 client accounts across paid media, creative, email/SMS, CRO, and UGC — full cross-channel strategy ownership, with specialists under you executing the work
* Retention and growth of your client portfolio — you are an expert in client retention and relationship management, making my client feel like an indispensable part of their brands
* QBRs and upsell/cross-sell conversations that drive service growth for clients while delivering revenue growth for the business
* Two monthly strategy calls per client — you run both, you set the agenda, you bring the narrative
* Weekly client Loom every Friday — one clear update across all channels, every account, every week
* Your pod: Creative Strategist, Media Buyer, Email/SMS Strategist, CRO Lead, UGC Ops VA — you give them direction, they execute
* Cross-channel signal detection — you spot misalignments, underperformance, and scaling opportunities before clients do
WHO THEY'RE LOOKING FOR
* 5+ years in a digital marketing agency — you've lived inside performance accounts and built strategies that have led to breakthrough growth on high-spending accounts
* Cross-channel depth: expert in paid (Meta, Google) and deep knowledge of email/SMS, creative strategy, and CRO
* Ability to read a performance, email, CRO, and creative report — and communicate strategy back to clients cohesively
* A direct, confident communicator — client calls aren't a chore, they're where you do your best work
* Proactive by default — you don't wait for a client to notice something. You've already named it and started fixing it
* Experience managing or leading a specialist team — you know how to brief well, not just delegate
