Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals for residents following dietary guidelines in both cold and hot kitchen settings
* Collaborate with the team to create and rotate seasonal menus
* Utilise creative skills to enhance meal presentation and ensure visual appeal
* Support the kitchen team with effective time management to ensure timely meal preparation
* Assist the Head Chef and Chef in achieving goals within specified timeframes
* Adhere to opening and closing procedures to maintain cleanliness and organisation
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience essential with at least 3 years of work experience as a Cook
* Previous kitchen experience working in an aged care environment preferrable
* Ability to follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs
* Strong time management skills in a fast-paced kitchen setting
* Excellent verbal communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures
* Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
