We’re on the lookout for talented Commis Chefs to join our vibrant kitchen team for breakfast shift at Farra!
Farra is the flagship restaurant of the soon-to-open HYDE Perth, showcasing modern Greek and Mediterranean flavours. Farra combines coastal Cycladic style with a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. With a menu inspired by seasonality and fresh, high-quality ingredients, Farra offers a dynamic environment where creativity, collaboration, and culinary excellence come together.

Main Functions:
Support the kitchen team across all breakfast service sections with efficiency and professionalismPrepare, organize, and store ingredients according to established protocols and rotation standardsLearn and apply culinary techniques in line with our menu offerings and kitchen standardsAssist in the execution of breakfast dishes, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistencyMaintain exceptional cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout your shiftDevelop foundational knife skills and food preparation techniques under mentorshipManage time effectively during peak breakfast service periodsCommunicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operationsContribute ideas and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the roleSupport inventory management and report any stock concerns to senior kitchen staff
Qualifications
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experienceStrong teamwork and communication skills with a collaborative mindsetCommitment to learning, consistency, and meticulous attention to detailKnowledge of food safety practices and HACCP principles (certification valued)Physical stamina and ability to work early morning breakfast shiftsDemonstrated knife skills and foundational food preparation techniquesEnthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine passion for culinary developmentAbility to work efficiently under pressure during peak service timesUnderstanding of breakfast menu items and preparation methodsFull, unrestricted Australian working rightsExperience in Mediterranean or contemporary cuisine is advantageous but not required
