The General Manager of CMPID leads the day-to-day running of the Association, reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for delivering the strategic vision for the organisation, acting as the ambassador and advocate for the Community that it serves.
You will be an impactful, commercially focussed leader, with an engaging personal style who can connect and influence complex stakeholder groups. You will leverage your experience in innovation, planning and development and/or economic development policy to drive positive change.

- Advanced stakeholder management skills - ability to build trusting relationships across diverse and senior stakeholders in business, government and research
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to present with authority and create clear written communications for members including reports, briefings, marketing materials, board correspondence etc
- Flexibility, independence, and resilience, with the ability to manage diverse parallel programs
- Organisational management skills appropriate for an independent not-for-profit Association

**About Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District**
Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District is a stakeholder-led Association, bringing leaders together to create a unified voice for our ecosystem. CMPID members - include the leading employers, institutions, Government agencies and landowners in Macquarie Park - to agree on the vision for our area, accelerate the benefits of growth, and to amplify our credentials as a global innovation hub They include the likes of Macquarie University, Optus, Abbott, Stockland, City of Ryde Council, Transport for NSW and other state government agencies like the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, and Investment NSW.
**CMPID Structure and Working Culture**
The General Manager reports directly to the Chair of the Board of Directors and is responsible for a team of up to four team members plus contractors.
The role is based at Macquarie Park, Sydney, but has genuine flexibility with a balance of remote work, and flexible hours (within agreed parameters). There are occasional out-of-hours events and activations that the General Manager is required to attend.
