Due to exceptional growth and success, the RPS Project Management team is seeking motivated and qualified client-side Assistant Project Managers who ideally have previous experience or exposure in delivering projects within Defence or similar government agencies.
About The Opportunity
The position may be embedded within Defence, acting on behalf of the client, or as Assistant Project Management/Contract Administration (PMCA), spanning across Capital Facilities & Infrastructure (CFI).
The ideal candidate will have experience in building and construction, infrastructure, contract management, refit, property management, and similar areas. This position is based in Griffith, Canberra, within a fast-paced team. RPS is a market leader in project management, specializing in the delivery of large, complex projects.
About You
* A tertiary qualification in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field is desirable.
* Experience or exposure to a range of delivery methodologies, particularly Head Contract, Managing Contractor, and Design and Construct, is advantageous.
* Previous experience with Defence projects, including Defence-specific writing skills, is preferred.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proactive mindset with strategic thinking abilities.
* Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
* Ability to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with government regulations.
* At least 1 year of client-side project management or PMCA experience in the relevant industries; familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules is a plus.
* AIPM accreditation or equivalent is advantageous.
