Personal Care Worker Role
About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Personal Care Worker. This is a permanent opportunity that offers a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight, with potential for overtime.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, supporting them to live their lives with dignity and independence.
* Assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging independence.
* Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of residents through assessment and observation.
* Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, in line with each resident's plan of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents to exercise choice and independence in their daily lives.
* Collaborate with the integrated team to deliver holistic care to residents.
* Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and updates to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support or Equivalent Qualification
We require candidates who possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will also have:
* A demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage time effectively.
* Flexibility, empathy, and patience when working with aged individuals and their families.
* A commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
* An understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles and Infection Control practices.
