Defence Housing Australia (DHA) is seeking customer focussed professionals with excellent communication skills to join our team of Property Managers in our **Canberra** office.
DHA is looking to build a strong merit pool of Property Managers to utilise over the next 4-6 months to fill current and future vacancies at the DHA4 level. Whilst these positions will initially be offered as Non-Ongoing engagements the opportunity to gain permanency will become available in our ongoing bulk recruitment round advertised in the coming months.
**What does the role involve?**
As a Property Manager you will manage a portfolio of service residences with respect to tenancy, ownership and property related matters. You will manage housing stock in regard to condition, presentation, current and future maintenance and issue management. You will also provide excellent customer service to your stakeholders including the tenants, property owners, Defence stakeholders, and DHA staff in your regional office and in the wider DHA network.
This role requires highly developed organisation skills, coupled with strong attention to detail and an ability to excel under pressure. Your excellent communication skills and customer service focus will enable you to engage positively to achieve outcomes with internal and external customers.
**You will have the following skills to be successful in this role**:
- Strong communication skills, with particular emphasis on active listening, influencing and expressing opinions with credibility.
- Experience in a results driven and customer service focused environment.
- The ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- The capability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Experience balancing work commitments and working well under pressure.
- Property management or customer service experience.
