Full Time Building Construction Supervisor

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Building Construction Supervisor to oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate trades, manage teams, monitor project timelines and budgets, enforce compliance with Australian building codes and OH&S regulations, and liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
* Organize and coordinate trade activities, workforce allocation, and material deliveries to support efficient project execution in accordance with specifications, regulations, and standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential issues, ensuring project momentum.
* Lead and supervise on-site teams to promote collaboration and a results-driven work environment.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to maintain efficient project schedules and optimal resource management.
* Coordinate project timelines to ensure timely completion of each construction phase.
* Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets industry standards and client expectations.
* Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and secure worksite.
* Monitor project budgets and implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality or regulatory compliance.
* Resolve site-related issues and conflicts promptly to prevent delays and maintain workflow continuity.
* Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders throughout the construction process.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Diploma in Building and Construction or a related field is preferred but not essential.
* Relevant certifications such as White Card and supervisory qualifications are highly desirable.
* Minimum 2 years of proven experience in construction supervision or a similar role.
* Sound knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and safety regulations.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to efficiently address on-site challenges.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with trades, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion under pressure.
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time (Permanent)
Salary: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
Schedule: 8-hour shift
Supplementary Pay: Annual bonus
Experience: 2 years in building supervision
