Entertainment Partners (EP) sits at the financial and operational core of the screen production ecosystem. Across Australia and New Zealand, we provide the infrastructure that enables productions to operate compliantly, efficiently and at scale, from budgeting, to payroll and accounting, to incentives and final reporting.

The Director of Operations will lead the operational engine of EPAUNZ, ensuring delivery excellence today while modernizing systems, processes and capabilities for tomorrow. This role is central to fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence by strengthening our foundations, scaling responsibly, ensuring compliance and enabling the next phase of EP's regional growth.

This is both a stabilization and transformation mandate.

The Director of Operations will work closely with the Managing Director, regional leadership and global teams to implement best practices, streamline processes, and manage resources effectively. They will be responsible for operational planning, financial oversight, and risk management, ensuring that the office operates within budget and meets performance targets.

Operational Excellence & Performance
* Oversee end-to-end operational delivery across ANZ, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and consistency.
* Lead daily operations across payroll, accounting and related service functions.
* Establish, monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Drive service quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure seamless cross-functional coordination and workflow integration.
* Success in this role means best-in-class operational precision in a high-volume, compliance-driven environment.
* Own operational budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation.
* Ensure the AUNZ office operates within financial targets while supporting growth.
* Improve cost-efficiency through process optimization and smart resource planning.
* Partner with the Managing Director on operational planning and performance reporting.
* Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.
* You bring commercial discipline to operational decision-making.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
* Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, payroll requirements, accounting standards and company policies.
* Develop and enforce operational policies and standardized procedures.
* Identify and proactively manage operational risks.
* Safeguard business continuity and operational security.
* Maintain strong governance controls in a complex and regulated environment.

Technology, Systems & Modernization
* Collaborate with global and local Product & Technology teams to implement new systems and product enhancements in-region.
* Drive adoption of operational tools and reporting systems.
* Improve data integrity, reporting visibility and automation.
* Identify workflow redesign opportunities to increase scalability.
* This role ensures operational infrastructure evolves alongside industry demands.
Leadership & Capability Building
* Lead, mentor and develop operational leaders and teams across AUNZ.
* Build clarity of accountability and performance ownership.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, discipline and pride in craft.
* Develop succession pathways and strengthen capability depth.
* Support cross-functional alignment with Customer & Industry Partnerships and Industry Education & Enablement.
Industry & Ecosystem Partnership
* Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers and strategic partners.
* Understand production industry workflows, accounting requirements and payroll service models.
* Stay informed on industry trends and evolving regulatory requirements.
* Ensure operational readiness to support new revenue streams and service innovation.
* You understand the production ecosystem and how operational integrity underpins its success.
What Success Looks Like

Within 12–18 months:

* Consistent, measurable improvements in operational KPIs.
* Strong financial discipline across AUNZ operations.
* Embedded compliance and risk management frameworks.
* Technology implementations delivered smoothly and adopted effectively.
* High-performing operational leadership team in place.
* Operations recognized internally as a growth enabler, not simply a delivery function.
Experience & Capabilities
* Proven experience as a Director of Operations or in a senior operational leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of complex service environments, ideally within production, payroll, accounting or adjacent regulated industries.
* Deep understanding of production workflows, accounting requirements and payroll service models.
* Demonstrated success in process optimization and operational transformation.
* Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting oversight.
* Analytical mindset with confidence using performance metrics and data.
* Exceptional leadership, communication and decision-making capability.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations or related field; MBA or relevant operational certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) advantageous.
