About Our Brain Trauma Unit

We're seeking dedicated professionals to join our Brain Trauma Unit at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, an acute inpatient program providing comprehensive care for adults recovering from brain injuries.
Our unit uses an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to support patients and their families. Exceptional rehabilitation nursing is at the heart of our care, ensuring that patients' medical and functional needs are met with expertise and compassion.
In addition to nursing, the Brain Trauma Unit offers intensive rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, neuropsychology, social work, and rehabilitation medicine. Patients admitted to the unit are medically stable and ready to engage in a personalized plan designed to restore function and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from brain injuries.
* Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to manage complex conditions and promote recovery.
* Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet patients' medical and functional needs.
Requirements:
* BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
* At least six months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
* National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
* NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License and AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
