The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of the largest providers of homelessness services across the country. Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. 
About the role 
As an After Hours Coordinator, this is your opportunity to provide leadership and guidance to a team of support workers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and trauma-informed practice to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. 
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position, based in Berrimah, NT. 
How you will make an impact 
- Provide guidance and support with practical assistance, including monitoring activities overnight and appropriate intervention as required such as de-escalation, first aid, and emergency situations. 
- Maintain and provide accurate hand over notes, including any changed risk behaviours and incidents. 
- Assist in providing, training, on boarding and evaluating staff members, grounds, and maintenance issues. 
- Assist in managing a team of afterhours and caretaker staff members. 
- Supervise Support Workers, including rostering, personal development, training and inclusion activities. 
- Plan, assign, and direct work for the afterhours support and caretaker team. 
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. 
What you will bring 
- A desired degree level qualification or preferred a relevant Diploma level qualification with substantial experience in a relevant industry. 
- Experience in a Homelessness and residential setting. 
- A national police record check is required. 
- Drivers Licence 
- Working With Children Check (if required)
