Executive Manager, Organisational Reform
Permanent full-time position

Kiama Council is committed to promoting diversity and fostering inclusion.

We currently have the opportunity for an Executive Manager, Organisational Reform to join the Office of the CEO directorate.

Key responsibilities as Executive Manager, Organisational Reform…

* Provide expertise and innovation in strategic and operational leadership
* Lead and manage the functions of Council that contribute to business transformation and continuous improvement
* Oversee the completion of the Strategic Finance and Governance Implementation Plan (SFGIP) to address requirements of the Performance Improvement Order
* Provide sponsorship of the TechOne Implementation Project
* Contribute strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team on transformation priorities and governance
* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and evidence-based decision making across Council.


What we offer...

* Permanent full-time role, 35 hours per week
* Commencing annual salary from $127,298 to $140,346
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
* Annual performance-based progression opportunity to earn up to $154,732
* The option of Managers allowance to the value of $9,743 per annum in lieu of flex time
* Plus 12% superannuation
* A market allowance would be considered for an exceptional candidate

What you'll need to be successful in the role...
It’s essential that you have excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills with diverse audiences. You will have strong business, political, governance and change management acumen, along with the ability to represent complex information concisely and effectively to meet the needs of varied target groups. In addition to this, it’s essential that you have:

* A minimum four years experience in managing a relevant discipline such as business, project management, planning or a relevant area
* Tertiary qualifications preferably in business, project management, planning or a relevant area
* The proven ability to plan, deliver and report on significant projects that achieve strategic objectives
* Demonstrated experience leading business transformation or continuous improvement programs within a complex organisation
* A high level analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to inspire or support innovative data-based decision making
* The ability to empower, support and develop others and provide timely performance management
* High level of digital literacy and knowledge of corporate systems (e.g. OneCouncil).

Although not essential, it would be beneficial to have any of the following:

* Knowledge of the Local Government Act and other related legislation
* Knowledge of key projects, opportunities, and challenges in the Kiama Local Government Area
* A minimum Class C Driver’s Licence.

This position has access to child-related information. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check to determine your suitability for employment.
