Essential Qualifications
- Diploma Qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent).
- A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
- First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Ability to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all children.
- Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in various age groups.
- Capability to design, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Adaptable to various situations and needs that arise in an early childhood setting.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with the national early learning framework for children from birth to five years.
- Understanding of the standards and assessment process to ensure quality service.
- Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.
