Geologist Software Support Specialist
We are seeking a driven Geologist Software Support Specialist to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting geologists who use software solutions.
Reporting to the Principal Consultant, you will analyse usage data, provide technical support, and document issues for customers using Micromine Origin.
* Analyse customer usage trends and determine areas where they need further support.
* Offer technical assistance to customers with active software licences.
* Document all support issues in our database.
* Elevate complex problems to other departments when necessary.
* Occasionally participate in delivering online and face-to-face training courses for clients.
* Ensure enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are reported to the product development team and reviewed.
* Provide technical support to colleagues on various projects as needed.
You must have a background in earth sciences and be keen to transition into the software industry. Key skills include strong technical knowledge of geology and mining software, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients succeed through technology.
Key Requirements
* A tertiary qualification in earth sciences or engineering.
* Experience working in exploration or mining environments.
* Familiarity with Micromine software or general mining software is desirable.
