Executive Managers (Programs and Projects/Strategy and Performance)

This role sits in the Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate and involves collaboration across the Department with Executive and Senior Leaders, providing evidence-based insights to guide strategic decisions, translating them into clear plans and projects, supporting program and project management, and monitoring corporate performance to ensure outcomes are achieved.
The Executive Manager Strategy and Performance is responsible for leading the Department's Strategic Plan, staying aware of future changes that may impact success, and coordinating Executive strategy sessions. This role prepares materials and papers for Executive decision-making, manages strategic projects, conducts options assessments, and develops business cases. It has a strong focus on data analysis, evidence-based decision-making, and performance analysis. It is also responsible for producing the Department's Annual Report.
The Executive Manager Programs and Projects oversees the Department's business planning process and the Program Management Framework and Office. This role collaborates with Divisions, Offices, and their Program and Project Managers to implement strategic programs and projects. It supports Executive Sub-Committees through monitoring and decision-making, leads strategic programs or projects when required, and is responsible for creating the Department's Innovation Framework, fostering a culture of innovation, and delivering the associated program of work.
We are seeking individuals who are:
* Able to interpret complex information and synthesise it into clear, actionable insights for Executive and Senior Leaders.
* Able to collaborate effectively with Executive and Senior Leaders to refine big ideas into practical actions.
* Experienced in driving results, with a solid understanding of best-practice tools and the ability to connect business plans to successful program and project delivery.
* Able to manage a high performing team of Strategists, Analysts and Project Managers.
