Heavy Haulage Coordinator Role
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Haulage Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of heavy equipment, vehicles, and personnel within the mine site in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the movement of heavy equipment, vehicles, and personnel according to production schedules, safety protocols, and logistical requirements.
* Maintain constant communication with mine supervisors, equipment operators, and other relevant personnel to convey instructions, updates, and emergency notifications effectively.
* Ensure that all dispatch activities adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including traffic management, equipment maintenance, and emergency response protocols.
* Coordinate emergency responses in collaboration with mine safety teams, including evacuations, rescue operations, and communication with external emergency services if necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, personnel assignments, and production metrics in line with the Time Usage Model (TUM) to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
* Monitor equipment availability, performance, and maintenance schedules to optimize utilization and minimize downtime.
* Provide guidance and support to dispatch staff, equipment operators, and other mine personnel on operational procedures, safety practices, and emergency protocols.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in mining operations (mine control)
* Proficiency with the Modular Mining suite of fleet management tools
* Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for underground mining
* Basic level Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and respond promptly to changing circumstances
* Knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and safety regulations
* Proficiency in computer systems and software applications relevant to dispatch operations and data management
* Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during emergency situations
* Willingness to work in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment, including rotating shifts and extension of rosters if required
