Job Description
As a skilled Audiovisual Display Installer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of multimedia presentation and content delivery systems for exhibitions, digital signage, and events at our esteemed institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring audio-visual display systems, data and signal paths for optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with multimedia and exhibition designers, art installers, and builders to ensure that multimedia displays are integrated according to design briefs and specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring all display systems, data and signal paths are installed and configured for optimal performance and reliability.
* Liaising with multimedia and exhibition designers, art installers, and builders to ensure multimedia displays are integrated according to design briefs and specifications.
* Assisting with daily maintenance and monitoring of multimedia systems, event and program support, and audiovisual content production where appropriate.
To excel in this role, you will have experience and knowledge in a broad range of audiovisual and multimedia installation such as audiovisual hardware installation, rigging, cabling and fit off, sound and video signal flow, digital projection and alignment, sound systems, electronics and wiring, control and media content delivery systems, automation, data and networking.
Additionally, you will possess demonstrated experience in the physical installation of display mounting systems for projectors, screens, and sound systems, as well as expertise in consideration of public safety and the weight bearing capacity of structural surfaces.
You will be an effective communicator, able to explain information and listen to feedback, speak clearly and concisely, and use a polite and considerate manner when dealing with others.
Prior experience and knowledge of multimedia and artwork display integration in an art gallery or museum environment would be advantageous.
A Riggers licence and relevant experience in rigging and installation of large/heavy audiovisual hardware, an elevated work platform licence and/or knowledge of electronics and experience in electronic repair would be beneficial.
Knowledge of relevant OH&S practices is highly valuable.
