Registered Pharmacist In Charge

The Role
To continue driving excellence, we are seeking a full time experienced Pharmacist In Charge to join our friendly team in Katherine Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Using evidence based practices, counsel customers on both prescription and over the counter medications relative to their medical conditions
• Provide pharmacy services to a high professional standard
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local health professionals
• Deliver culturally sensitive practices in daily interactions, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Contribute to the positive and friendly atmosphere of the pharmacy
• Dependent on experience, supervise, and coach intern pharmacists
• 8CPA claiming
• Ensure compliance with QCPP policy and procedures
• Contribute to a collaborative workplace, working closely with Regional Operations Managers, State Managers and Chief Pharmacist.

Essential Criteria
• Current, full (unrestricted) registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
• Internship must be completed
• Experience in a clinical or community pharmacy setting
• Willingness to undertake professional development opportunities
• Demonstrated clinical competence and confidence, with the ability to exercise sound professional judgement
• Strong understanding of the health issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully with culturally diverse patients and colleagues
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including attending team meetings
• High level of attention to detail and strong skills in medication safety, reconciliation and error checking
Desirable Criteria
• Immunisation accreditation in accordance with state/territory guidelines, or willingness to complete
• Completion of 'Deadly Pharmacists Foundation Training' with Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or similar cultural safety training, or willingness to complete
• A collaborative, proactive, and positive team attitude
