The Opportunity
As a Fleet Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day dispatch and coordination of drivers and fleet operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and has a passion for problem-solving, logistics optimisation, and ensuring deliveries run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily dispatch, scheduling, and routing of drivers and vehicles.
Monitor delivery performance (DIFOT) and optimise fleet utilisation.
Act as the key point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, and Fatigue Management regulations.
Troubleshoot delivery issues and resolve them in real time.
Track and report on fleet performance metrics.
Oversee vehicle maintenance scheduling to ensure compliance and safety.
Support operational planning during peak periods or service escalations.
About You
Previous experience in a fleet controller, transport scheduler, or logistics coordination role (ideally within container transport or 3PL).
Strong understanding of transport compliance regulations including CoR and Fatigue Management.
Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively under pressure.
Comfortable working with logistics management systems and dispatch tools.
Previous experience in One stop and container chain transport desirable.
