About the Opportunity
As an Administration Officer within the Medicare Kids Hub, you will provide essential frontline and clerical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of this child-focused community mental health service. Working across a broad range of administrative tasks, you will support children, families, and clinicians within a dynamic and client-centred environment. This is more than a traditional administration role - your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to connect with people will directly contribute to better outcomes for children and their families. You will be at the centre of a busy, purpose-driven service, the first point of contact, helping families feel welcomed, supported, and connected to the care they need.
No two days are the same, and you will play a key role in supporting clinical teams, coordinating service delivery, and ensuring a positive experience for families engaging with the Kids Hub. In this role you will:
* Be the first point of contact for families, providing welcoming and responsive front-line customer service while managing enquiries. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a high level of accuracy in all interactions.
* Provide consistent, high quality customer service across telephone, email and face to face interactions.
* Coordinate appointments, referrals, and records to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
* Maintain accurate data entry and administrative systems, supporting compliance and efficiency
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote a supportive environment.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional approach
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and documentation
* Proven experience using computer systems and administrative processes in a busy environment, with the ability to coordinate tasks and resources effectively.
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset, with the ability to problem-solve and support colleagues effectively
