Position Description

As a Permanent Part-time Enrolled Nurse (Pre-Operative Transfer Nurse), you will support patients from the Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA) Unit or inpatient wards to the Pre-operative service unit.
About the Role
The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of comprehensive care for a specific group of patients requiring escort from the DOSA Unit or inpatient wards to the Pre-operative service unit. This role involves giving a comprehensive clinical handover and ensuring patients are safe and feeling supported in their pre-operative care.
Your main duties will include:
Providing comprehensive handover utilizing the pre-operative handover and checklist process from the ward or DOSA to the Perioperative Services team.
About You
Registered with AHPRA.
2-3 years' experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
Experience working in Surgical Services.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated competence as a nurse clinician.
Demonstrated contribution to teamwork and quality and safety initiatives.
