Are you passionate about driving best practice procurement outcomes and supporting a culture of integrity and continuous improvement? We're seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Procurement and Contracts Advisor to join our team.
In this role, you'll provide expert advice and hands-on support to ensure our procurement and contracting activities align with government purchasing frameworks, internal policies, and a strong commitment to transparency and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance to staff on procurement and contracting policies, processes, and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement-related policies, procedures, user guides, training materials, FAQs, and systems enhancements.
* Prepare reports, briefs, and correspondence on complex procurement and contract matters, using strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Deliver high-quality, customer-focused service and advice to internal and external stakeholders on procurement and contracting processes and systems.
* Support staff to maintain accurate procurement and contract data, ensuring all documentation is correctly stored and accessible.
* Effectively communicate procurement and contract processes across the organisation to ensure understanding and compliance.
About You You'll bring a strong understanding of procurement and contract administration principles, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and ethical practices. You have:
* Knowledge of procurement and contract administration, probity concepts, and government purchasing policies and procedures.
* Experience with information and workflow systems, including contract management and procurement databases.
* Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and prioritisation abilities.
* Well-developed stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with a focus on delivering customer-focused outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualifications in procurement and contract management, business administration, or legal studies are desirable but not essential.
* Experience in government or regulated environments is advantageous.
* Background in customer service or stakeholder-facing roles will be highly regarded.
