Ensures the organisation runs effectively and efficiently. Provides a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness. Contributes to the development and implementation of the business strategy.

Subfamily Description

General Management (GMA) contains Nokia's business results, leading a unit or function. Covers provision of the strategic vision as well as overall management and ensures performance and quality of own business area or function.



Responsibilities

Hold end-to-end accountability for both on-time and on-budget delivery of the deals as a trusted delivery partner to the customers.

* Accountable for delivery of the MN Managed Services contracted business in the MU Oceania
* Ensure reliable delivery planning and net sales recognition in market projects
* Support Market Delivery Head to execute on Market strategy
* Manage CDM in the Market Unit area and acts as first escalation step
* Advise MU Head on delivery topics and align services delivery and organization with the MU strategy
* Build and maintain close relationship with customers and assure great customer experience
* Collect and provide customer feedback to Services BL
* Deliver services in the Market based on the APAC delivery models (e.g., deploying automation, digitalization, remotization, industrialization)

Participate in the offering process to optimize the offer for cost-competitive delivery

* Ensure the MUs and CTs have effective and efficient resource allocation in their projects by leading service transformation activities
* Participate in the validation of offers and sign off in the L2D process to ensure the deliverability of the offered projects starting at G3

Develop and deploy delivery excellence concepts and practices, to ensure the cost baseline is met or improved

* Increase the value of our offering to customers through high-quality service offering, resulting in growing the perceived value of MN in the Market Unit
* Drive local go-to-market approach (incl. delivery model, partnerships, positioning) that best suits the customers' needs and situations
* Develop local go-to-market approach and innovate on service delivery, search and share best practices from inside and outside Nokia
* Promote and apply the MN Services efficiency vision locally, ensuring delivery of MN business in the Market Unit according to APAC market delivery models
* Steer service delivery capability deployment and assurance (processes, data security, DnA, people) and efficient end-to-end work force management across local and GDC

Managerial/Supervisory: Typically third (occasionally second) level of solid line management. Directly contributes to and influences direction, policy and strategy of a Business Unit, large geography or global business strategy. Determines resource allocation. Determines an operational framework. Makes final decisions on operational matters. Decisions based on intuition, creativity and judgment. Typical scopes: Business Unit, large geography or global function. Complex combination of functions, running large product or operations divisions.

High degree of independence - generally influences policies, targets and budgets. Provides direction and sets expectations for creation of new business opportunities. Develops ideas and strategies for building businesses and solutions. Extensively analyse complex multi-dimensional issues and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques. Identifies need for change, adapts swiftly and is an effective leader of change.

Communication

Operates at the senior level of the business effectively with a global mindset and in many different environments (e.g. outside of home country, new business unit/entity, different cultures).Frequently negotiates and compromises to influence internal and external parties who may have conflicting objectives to accept concepts, practices and approaches.Requires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership ( internal / external) regarding matters of strategic importance to the organisation using highly complex arguments.

Knowledge & Experience

Broad management experience across several functional areas or businesses, or concentrated knowledge of a particular discipline.Command of content and purpose of several functions. Can develop relevant and creative solutions to meet current and evolving business needs. May be internally & externally recognised, leading authority in the field. Typically requires >12 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree. PhD degree would normally be expected in R&D stream.
