Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for managing statutory, accounting, and administration functions of the business.

This includes monthly closure of accounting systems, producing management accounts, performing daily and weekly cashbook reconciliations, setting up and monitoring monthly progress claims, and providing cover for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions when required.

The role involves Group reporting to the UK, including departmental budgetary reconciliations, ESG reporting, and other ad hoc reports.

* Daily and month-end accounting to determine results, including P&L and Balance Sheet activity, and accounts-payable/receivable cash application.
* Preparation, review, and distribution of the monthly management accounts, analysing variances against budget in a timely manner.
* Ownership of annual budget preparations and finance templates.
* Support in delivery of interim and annual audit, including external auditor coordination, anomaly review, amendment, and final posting.
* Manage relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authorities.
* Preparation, review, and submission of all statutory requirements, including STP Reporting, Payroll Tax, Super, IAS, BAS, and annual lodgements.
* Drive value within the business through margin enhancement, lower costs, and operational efficiencies.
* Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations.
* Monthly WIP control and journal posting.
* Authorising weekly payment runs/payroll.
* Cover and understand Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions when required.
* HR oversight, including delivering HR processes and producing One to Ones.
* IT oversight, including working with local and international partners to ensure safe and working operating systems.
* Completing Group reporting functions to be issued to UK.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

Practical Knowledge: A practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.

Financial Acumen: Solid knowledge of standard accountancy and finance best practices.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting: In-depth knowledge and ability in budgeting and financial forecasting.

Leadership: Team orientated leadership, supporting and developing those around them.

Problem Solving: Proactive problem solver, communicating and implementing controls to remove risk/error in the future.

Experience: 2+ years' experience working in an accounts department.

Prior Experience: Prior exposure to management accounts or if straight from academia a strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and double entry accounting.
