Role Overview
The Bridge School in Ipswich is seeking a Caretaker to work part-time, permanent (20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).
The position offers a competitive salary range and the chance to work within a collaborative Academy Trust.
Responsibilities
Premises maintenance and upkeep
Security of buildings and site
Ensuring indoor and outdoor environments are well maintained and meet Health & Safety requirements
Planning and carrying out minor repairs and DIY tasks
Attending to staff, pupils and the public in an efficient and friendly manner
Flexible working hours, split shifts may be required at times
Qualifications
Honest, reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
Good DIY and premises skills
Ability to plan and carry out minor repairs and jobs competently
Committed to achieving high standards in
Willing to attend courses to develop expertise
Adequate communication skills to deal with staff, pupils and the public
Working Hours
Flexible and split shifts may be required.
During term time week we would like someone who can attend each day; during school holidays working patterns can be arranged to suit the individual.
