 
        
        Overview 
The Smoking Cessation Program is a small and cohesive team of nurses, passionate about bringing positive change to the health of Tasmanians. They provide both a clinical smoking cessation service as well as education to health professionals across the health sector. 
You will need 
- Highly developed knowledge and experience of contemporary evidence and clinical practice as it relates to smoking cessation interventions. 
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, deliver, promote and evaluate education sessions and evidence-based smoking cessation interventions into routine health care practice through collaboration, demonstration and providing mentorship to other health professionals. 
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills and proven ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, and with care providers in the primary health setting. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships and strategic networks for the development of the Smoking Cessation Program.

Details of appointment 
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 
- Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. 
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. 
Salary and allowances 
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. 
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. 
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility 
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria. 
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse 
- Current Driver’s Licence 
Desirable criteria: 
- Holds, or is working towards, relevant tertiary qualifications
