About the role
Recognise Support Services is seeking a full-time Live in Carer on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, to provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in the Busselton Greater Region. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to help our clients live independently and engage in household activities to thrive in their home environment.
What you'll be doing
Providing 24/7 live-in care and support to clients with various disabilities on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster
Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
Accompanying clients to medical appointments, social activities, and community engagements when other carers are not available
Work with our Management team to implement individualised support plans to help clients achieve their goals
Fostering a safe, comfortable, and enriching living environment for clients
Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure seamless service delivery
Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
What we're looking for
Relevant experience in disability support or aged care
Minimum of 1+ years of disability support or aged care experience is required
Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred, empathetic care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others
A current First Aid certificate and National Police Clearance
Disability Worker Screening Check or Working with Vulnerable People check must be obtained within 3 months
A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required
