Role Description
The Residential Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Penrith, NSW. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations within a SDA apartment, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and person-centered environment for people with disability. Key tasks include supervising and supporting frontline staff, managing rosters, overseeing incident reporting, and ensuring adherence to care plans, policies, and regulatory standards. The Residential Supervisor collaborates with clients, families, and external stakeholders to support individual goals, promote community participation, and respond to changing support needs. The role also involves contributing to continuous quality improvement, maintaining accurate documentation, and fostering a respectful, values-driven team culture.
Qualifications
* Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, performance support, and workload coordination.
* Background in social work or related human services, with experience supporting people with disability or complex needs.
* Effective communication skills, including active listening, documentation, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in case management, including goal planning, risk assessment, and coordination of supports and services.
* Understanding of mental health support needs and trauma-informed, person-centered practice.
* Relevant qualification in disability, social work, community services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Knowledge of NDIS and other relevant funding or regulatory frameworks.
* Ability to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Current first aid and CPR certification, valid driver's license, and required clearances or checks as per legislation.
