About the role
Dixon Accountants is seeking an experienced Accountant for a role based just off the Motorway in Nerang, Queensland. In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and taxation services to our diverse client base. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' tax affairs are managed efficiently and compliantly.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals and businesses
* Providing tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimise their tax obligations
* Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports
* Conducting tax research and staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation
* Collaborating with clients to understand their unique financial and tax requirements
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
What we're looking for
* Degree in Accounting or a related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a professional Accountant
* Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Proficient in the use of accounting software and tax preparation tools
* Experience with all aspects of GST, Payroll and Superannuation
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* XERO Certified an advantage
