The Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) is seeking 2 experienced Power BI Developer / Data Engineers to join their Business Solutions Branch. You’ll play a key role in delivering enterprise-grade reporting, analytics, and data platform capabilities using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI* Build and manage semantic models (Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse)* Develop data pipelines using Fabric Data Factory* Optimise data models using DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL* Implement RLS, RBAC, and data governance best practices* Administer Power BI Service (capacity, tenancy, workspaces)* Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure data quality and performance
Key Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in Power BI / Data Engineering roles* Strong skills in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL* Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, Delta tables)* Solid understanding of Azure data services* Experience with RLS, security, and Power BI administration
Desirable * Azure DevOps / CI-CD experience* Exposure to trade or statistical analysis environments
