Custom Furniture Craftsmanship
We are seeking skilled Cabinet Makers to join our Production Team in Scoresby. The role involves constructing, assembling, and altering custom-built furniture pieces.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assembling tables, chairs, buffets, couch frames, stools, and other timber furniture pieces.
* Reading, producing, and interpreting job sheets and drawings.
* Working with solid timbers and veneers.
* Operating various cabinet making hand tools.
* Using power tools such as electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planners, laser levelling devices, and pneumatic (air) tools.
* Performing polishing and oiling when required.
* Making measurements and calculations.
* Setting up, operating, and maintaining joining machines.
* Producing angled and curved furniture using solid timber.
* Setting up, operating, and maintaining sawing machines.
* Constructing jigs and fixtures.
* Preparing cutting lists from plans and job specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Cabinet Making Expertise
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Proficiency in cabinet making techniques.
* Experience working with solid timbers and veneers.
* Familiarity with various cabinet making hand tools.
* Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
