An Australian R&D and manufacturing company developing advanced defence and industrial systems is expanding its team and now hiring Electronics Assembly Technicians to support production as they scale into full manufacturing.
In this role, you will be part of the assembly team responsible for building electronic and mechanical subsystems, including soldering, cable harnessing, and connector assembly. You will work to detailed drawings and work instructions, ensuring every component is assembled to meet strict industrial and defence quality standards. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with assembly experience and attention to detail.
This is a full-time, Adelaide-based role with excellent access to public transport and parking.
Full relocation is required for interstate candidates; cost assistance is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble electronic and mechanical subsystems in line with engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Perform soldering, cable harnessing, and connector assembly to required standards.
* Use hand and power tools to assemble components accurately and safely.
* Conduct in-process quality checks and flag any non-conformances.
* Follow workplace safety and compliance procedures at all times.
* Collaborate with the Assembly Supervisor and team members to meet production schedules.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in electronics or mechanical assembly.
* Proficiency in soldering and working with connectors and cabling.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical and assembly drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Must be an Australian citizen.
Desirable but not essential:
* Background in defence or other precision manufacturing environments.
* IPC certification or equivalent in soldering and electronics assembly.
* Mechanical trade or vocational qualifications.
