Their Infrastructure Services team are currently seeking a strategic leader to head up the Project Management Office (PMO). The Infrastructure Services team ensure their nationwide facilities operate efficiently and align with the agency's strategic direction.
Your new role
They are seeking an experienced leader to manage the Project Management Office and a small team. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering the Project Management Framework, ensuring strong governance and operational excellence.
* Lead the development and implementation of the Capital Works Project Management Framework.
* Oversee maturity assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Manage PMO functions, including governance pipeline, project reviews, and financial processes.
* Conduct assessments of active projects and provide strategic recommendations.
* Provide technical leadership and training
* Act as a subject-matter expert in project management, supporting best practices and tool development.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead a team with a focus on collaboration, integrity, and excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated capability in leading PMO within the commonwealth environment
* Strong understanding of project methodologies, contract management, WHS legislation, and Commonwealth Procurement
* Proven experience in performance management and capability development
* High level understanding of Infrastructure program management
* Ideally, you will have relevant industry qualifications.
* Strong leadership capabilities and high-level communication skills
* You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to work with the Federal Government.
