Glide, a leader in powered and manual wheelchair manufacturing, is seeking a skilled Production Welder to join our team. This position would be a full-time position but open for discussion of either Part time or Contract. In this role, you will perform high-quality welding operations to support the assembly and production of our wheelchair products. You will ensure all components meet the specifications outlined in the Order/Job Instruction Forms (JIF) and conduct first-off inspections to verify product quality.
You will be responsible for verifying welding jig alignment, maintaining welding equipment in safe working order, and performing user-level maintenance as needed, maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards is essential, as well as meeting production deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met. You may also be required to support junior staff and assist in mentoring as they develop their welding skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience with TIG welding (essential) and MIG welding techniques, especially with materials such as mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. Trade qualifications in Welding would be desirable but not a requirement.
