Our Transmission and Distribution offering encompasses a diverse range of technical specialisations including Transmission Lines & Cables, Earthing & Electromagnetics studies, Civil/Structural solutions, Infrastructure power and High Voltage Substations.
Our comprehensive approach addresses the complex challenges of the energy transition, positioning Jacobs as a key partner in shaping the future of power generation and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced EMI and EMT studies, including Earth Potential Rise, Low Frequency Induction, Lightning, EMF, EMC, Insulation Coordination, and Transformer Inrushs.
- Manage the engineering delivery of small teams to deliver quality project outcomes.
- Provide technical expertise for bid preparation and business development.
- Mentor and develop engineers to expand Jacobs' EMI/EMT services.
- Foster positive client relationships and represent Jacobs at thought leadership events.
What you’ll bring
- Degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering
- A variety of sector exposure from areas such as Substations, Transmission, Infrastructure Power including Rail, Water, Mining, Airports, and Industrial services
- Proficiency in industry standard software tools such as CDEGS and PSCAD
- Capable technical report writing skills and ability to present to various internal/external stakeholders
- Commitment to quality assurance and risk mitigation
