Rous County Council are unlike other councils. We are a small and unique organisation with a big role to play across our region. We are deeply connected to our communities through our environmental services of bulk water supply, weed biosecurity, and flood mitigation infrastructure across various local council areas.
The Role
Do you have a strong interest in natural resource management, flourish in delivering key purpose projects and thrive on engaging with internal and external stakeholders? If you answered YES, then we need you to join our Catchment and Cultural Awareness team.
This role is on a part-time basis (2 days per week) for a 3 year-term contract.
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, enjoys community engagement and can effectively coordinate projects to promote, educate and build awareness to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities will be to assist with effective delivery of Rous County Council’s Catchment Management Business Plan 2021-2025. Please see link for more information. This will involve delivering projects that promote the impact of catchment activities on our drinking water quality and protecting our catchment through networking and engaging with education institutions including schools and promoting catchment activities at local events, markets and catchment management groups.

About You
You are people focused with exceptional interpersonal skills. These skills will be put to great use when implementing and delivering project activities as per the Catchment Management Business Plan.
You love partnering with the local community to strive for sustainable outcomes and delivering projects that will support improved water catchment quality with a focus on protecting our catchments health.
Most of all, your passionate about natural resource management and you know how powerful an engaging communications campaign can be!
