Multicultural Education Aide & Office Administration
The host school for the Shepparton English Language Centre (SELC) since 2008 is St Georges Road Primary School in the south of Shepparton. The School Principal has overall responsibility for the school, including SELC, which operates as a sub‑school of the host school.
SELC is based at the Hayes Street Campus of St Georges Road Primary School, a discrete building formerly used by the Shepparton Schools Support Centre. The campus also includes three primary classrooms in a relocatable building on the southeast corner of the St Georges Road PS grounds. The main entrance and office are located opposite 22 Weddell Street, Shepparton.
SELC provides Intensive English Tuition to new‑arrival students in primary and secondary government schools in the Shepparton Schools District. Students also receive specialist instruction in Mathematics, Physical Education, Art, Music, Science and/or Aussie Skills. The overall target is 65 students each year, with enrolment typically below 65 only during the COVID pandemic.
New‑arrival primary and secondary students attend the Hayes Street Campus full time for 6‑12 months.
