About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant who enjoys transactional finance work and thrives in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the GM Corporate, you will manage day-to-day finance operations while ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can confidently prepare and administer accounts payable/receivable, payroll, BAS, GST, PAYG, and monthly reporting, as well as support the financial reporting for associated Trusts.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end transactional finance: AP, AR, invoicing and reconciliations
* Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, PAYG, and other statutory returns
* Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including trial balance and variance analysis
* Contribute data for financial spreadsheets, charts, and reports
* Assist in payroll, tax submissions, and reporting
* Prepare accounts up to trial balance for monthly and annual reporting
* Assist with project accounting and finance administration
* Contribute to finance and accounting policies and procedures
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience as an Accountant
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements
* Proven ability in transactional finance and statutory reporting
* Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and intermediate Excel
* Excellent time management and communication skills
Desirable:
* Formal qualifications in Accounting
* CA or CPA qualified
